掌權Master

馬可福音4章35至41節。

當那天晚上、耶穌對門徒說、我們渡到那邊去罷。門徒離開眾人、耶穌仍在船上、他們就把他一同帶去．也有別的船和他同行。忽然起了暴風、波浪打入船內、甚至船要滿了水。耶穌在船尾上、枕著枕頭睡覺．門徒叫醒了他、說、夫子、我們喪命、你不顧麼。耶穌醒了．斥責風、向海說、住了罷、靜了罷．風就止住、大大的平靜了。耶穌對他們說、為甚麼膽怯．你們還沒有信心麼。他們就大大的懼怕、彼此說、這到底是誰、連風和海也聽從他了。

人總以為自己可以掌控一切。權貴之士以為自己可以控制他人，甚至其他國家。平民百姓以為自己可以完全掌握自己的生命。更可能稱自己是按神旨意行事。但當一個風暴來時，便顯得人是相當渺小。不論是否有信基督教也好，終歸要尊重祂。

Read Mark 4:35 – 41.

And on that day, when the evening had come, he (Jesus) said to them (disciples), Let us go over to the other side.
And going away from the people, they took him with them, as he was, in the boat. And other boats were with him.
And a great storm of wind came up, and the waves came into the boat, so that the boat was now becoming full.
And he himself was in the back of the boat, sleeping on the cushion: and they, awaking him, said, Master, is it nothing to you that we are in danger of destruction?
And he came out of his sleep, and gave strong orders to the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be at rest. And the wind went down, and there was a great calm.
And he said to them, Why are you full of fear? Have you still no faith?
And their fear was great, and they said one to another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea do his orders?

We, as a man, always think we can master everything. Those in the power think they can control others and even countries, while the ordinary men attempts to set path for their life. Even both of them said they are acting in God’s will. But a storm or any kind of difficulties remind us of how little we are. We need to respect God no matter whether you are a Christian.
